this song is very upbeat and happy, something i always find myself connecting to with the music of the beatles. and that positivity reflects the message of the song with the message of my impression here and blog, quite perfectly matching it. and this classical song from the 1960s manages at the same time to bring you good vibes while listening to it as you view my picture here, as they both speak volumes about hope and faith in the beauty of life, and in new beginnings...i like to listen to this song at the start of a new day as a great mood boost filled with hope of a refreshing new beginning: "here comes the sun" by the beatles

i've always been more of a morning person​,​ and i love ​the morning light​ the best​...i've always been much more excited to start a day than to end one...​and ​the morning light is so much easier on my eyes...it's always softer, less sharp, more glowing and diffused with​ ​softened ​pastels​. the morning light is ​much less bold​ than the evening light at the end of the day...

ABOUT THIS IMPRESSION

taken at ​5:30​am on ​may 28th, 202​2​, ​just as the sun was rising up through the rocks and eye of alabama arch near lone pine, california...​this sunrise impression consists of two exposures taken​at from different angles and points of view, one for the foreground of the rocks and arch, and another for the background of the morning sky and clouds... and ​then the two were​ merged together using layers in adobe photoshop...​
 
both exposures carried the same settings​...(f/​11​@​44​mm for ​11 ​second​s​, iso-64)
 
and to get the effects and balance i was looking for in both exposures of this composition, i used two progreyus​a filters​...
 
first, a ​1.8nd progrey antarctica filter to bring the light in the image down 10 stops and permit for the long​er​ 1​1 ​second exposure which in turn creates this dreamy effect with motion blur smoothing out ​the clouds a bit​ and naturally saturating all the blue​ and ​red​ hues​ in the image...
 
combined with the second filter, a 0.9​ gnd reverse ​progrey aurora filter to help balance in-camera overall the image the way i envisioned it...in this case, to stop down the much brighter light in the sky right at the horizon level an extra three stops, brighter from the dawn light with the sun shining through the arch...
 
i also used the progrey g-120z magnetic holder to hold the filters and secure the filters to my nikon d850 with a nikon nikkor ​24​-​70​mm f/2.8 lens ...
