"dancing with the stars" is my brand new impression and blog...
"it's like the trees are dancing next to this pond, reaching up and touching the stars with their branches, while at the same time dipping their roots in the reflection of themselves" ― bodhi, dancing with the stars
"dance with the dancers.
sing with the singers.
paint with the painters.
dream with the dreamers.
believe with the believers.
create with the creator.
marvel in the marvelous,
wonder with the wonderful...
and you will surely be
the happy in happiness
the magic in the magical"
"all it takes is an eagerness to join the cosmic dance, and a willingness to seek the miracles of the soul" ― deepak chopra, buddha
"take hold of your own life. see that the whole existence is celebrating...these trees are not serious, and everywhere there is fun, everywhere there is dance, joy, and delight. watch existence. listen to the existence. and become part of it" ― osho, the secret of secrets
"dance is a way of rising up into space, of discovering new dimensions while still remaining in touch with your body. when you dance, the spiritual world and the real world manage to coexist quite happily" ― paulo coelho, the witch of portobello
"you dance inside my chest,
where no one sees you,
but sometimes i do, and that
sight becomes this art"

"unfold your heart. sharpen your ears. and never say no to the world when it asks you to dance" ― tahereh mafi, ignite me
"dancing is creating a sculpture that is visible only for a moment" ― erol ozan, talus
"can you imagine, for example, what the trees do, not only in lightning storms or the watery dark of a summer's night, or under the white nets of winter, but now, and now, and now--whenever we're not looking?...surely you can't imagine they don't dance, from the root up, wishing to travel a little, not cramped so much as wanting a better view, or more sun, or just as avidly more shade?...surely you can't imagine they just stand there loving every minute of it, the birds or the emptiness, the dark rings of the years slowly and without a sound thickening, and nothing different unless the wind, and then only in its own mood, comes to visit?...surely you can't imagine patience, and happiness, like that?" ― mary oliver
"a true spiritually connected dance happens when two lovers only have each other, they do not ever need their ears to hear the music, the dance is all that matters, and all that they want" ― bodhi, spiritual dance
here is a beyond beautiful love song, i always melt when i listen to these romantic lyrics, sung so eloquently and lovingly by phillip phillips, it brings out the deeply emotional feelings of a true spiritually connected dance, the dance desired when two lovers only have each other, and that is all that matters, and all that they want...this is one of my all time favorite love songs ever written: "dance with me" by phillip phillips ... (just click on any of words in the blue links to listen to the song)...
"i have seen a sunset in the western sky, ain’t nothin’ like the brightness in your eyes. and i have seen the moon reflecting in the sea, but that don’t compare to how you shine on me. after everything i’ve seen, i rather see you smile. 'cause all i really want is just to hold you for a while, and be your man. so will you dance with me? i will lead you, give every moment that i have just to be near you. and when the song ends and everyone else leaves, will you dance one more with me? when my hands are heavy and your words are slow, kiss my lips and tell me you won’t let me go. and with every single heartbeat i have left, i’ll make it known you are my world and nothing less. 'cause all i really want is just to hold you for a while and be your man, so will you dance with me? i will lead you, give every moment that i have just to be near you. and when the song ends and everyone else leaves, will you dance one more with me? will you dance one more with me?" ― phillip phillips, dance with me
"trees are the most versatile yet majestic dancers. no matter where they find themselves, they are always simultaneously touching the ground and reaching for the sky" ― bodhi, dancing trees
it's like the trees are dancing next to this pond, reaching up and touching the stars with their branches, while at the same time dipping their roots in the reflection of themselves...and in my mind's eye, i can imagine them doing the bachata, dancing to this song: "deja vu" by shakira and prince royce...
"unload the weight of noise, become light enough in spirit and mind to play, and radiate, and reflect, and sing, and dance down this path to enlightenment" ― bodhi, dancing path
this song is a classic love song from the late seventies (1079)...this tune has always been a favorite of mine, and is one of those songs that once you listen to it, it's nearly impossible to get it outta your head with its memorable melody, it'll just keep playing on repeat in your memory. it's got its own cool vibe and sound with a mix of folk, country and pop, and with its lyrics, it is the perfect accompaniment to connect music with the meaning of my impression and blog today: "swayin' to the music (slow dancin')" by johnny rivers ... i sound old, but they just do not make songs like this anymore...(just click on any of words in the blue links to listen to the song)...
"it's late at night and we're all alone, just the music on the radio. no one's comin', no one's gonna telephone. just me and you and the lights down low...and we're slow dancin', swayin' to the music. slow dancin', just me and my girl. slow dancin', swayin' to the music, no one else in the whole wide world just you, girl...and we just flow together when the lights are low. shadows dancin' all across the wall. music's playin' so soft and slow, rest of the world so far away and small when we're slow dancin', swayin' to the music. slow dancin', just me and my girl. slow dancin', swayin' to the music, no one else in the whole wide world...hold me, oh, oh, oh, hold me, no never let me go...as we dance together in the dark, so much love in this heart of mine. you whisper to me, hold you tight. you're the one i thought i'd never find...now we're slow dancin', swayin' to the music. slow dancin', just me and my girl. slow dancin', swayin' to the music. no one else in the whole wide world. slow dancin', swayin' to the music, slow dancin', just me and my girl. slow dancin', swayin' to the music, no one else in the whole wide world, whole wide world" ― johnny rivers, swayin' to the music (slow dancin')
"her reflection captivates me
her darkness teaches me
her essence fills me
her light calms me
her soul caresses me...
she is my fascination
she is is my art
she is my glow
she is my love
she is my dance"
"we are only here on this planet for a little while...so dance, and love, and reflect what makes you happy, and then love and dance some more" ― bodhi, the dance
MORE BODHI QUOTES
and now here are a few more quotes from bodhi from past blogs to help add to the deeper meaning of this blog today...
"i dream, to
sunrise and sunset, across
the starry sky, beyond
the milky way, into
my every atom, throughout"
"love is a dance, beautifully artistic, but also needing practice to get better, mixed with a little obsession, dedication, and fascination...love is a dance, it's not a hobby, it's not a chore, it's not a choice, it's not casual...those who do it, must do it. so baby, let's dance" ― bodhi, let's dance
"in this flowering dance of love, we are merely budding dancers, still learning and practicing, so fascinated, dedicated, and obsessed with every single step" ― bodhi, budding dancers
"just as a leaf know it's time, it embraces change, and fearlessly lets go of the safety of the tree, falling and dancing to where it needs to be...such a beautiful metaphor for all of us... just let go, dance, and fall in love with life's changes" ― bodhi, the dance of a leaf
"if but a moment
i have with you is one spent
dancing, i'm content"
smitten at first glance

nothing happens by chance
"as landscape photographers, we are dancers in nature, translating colors like music, into a form people can experience as art in their own personal space" ― bodhi, translators
"will you dance with me?
please hold me to the rhythm
beating in our hearts"
"shall we dance in the rhythm of darkness or light? shall we dance in the realm belonging to our minds? shall we dance to the music of balance and peace? life is already complicated, our hearts should be at ease. i don't need the attention of millions, only this dance with you...shall we dance to the words of storm or of loving sunlight? shall we dance, talk, or just be? it doesn't matter, for no matter what, you will forever be dancing inside of me, the biggest part of me." ― bodhi, shall we dance?
"i needed to be disconnected from my senses to truly understand who i was...it was a dance in the complete absence of music and movement, with my eyes closed, in the blinding silence amongst the trees, that brought me in contact with myself. without the void, i could not see the beautiful space i filled" ― bodhi, dance in silence
"it's a beautiful spiritual union of two souls being lost and found again for many lifetimes, always finding their way back to each other...like the way a song always finds its dance, rain always finds its way back to the river, the wind always finds its melody in the leaves, and the waves always come home to the beach...i simply live for the love in the next single moment that we touch" " ― bodhi, a song always finds its dance
"if but a moment
i have with you, one that's spent
dancing, i'm content"
"seduce me at sunrise, dance with me barefoot in the dew on the grass, make me wet and warm, and loved" ― bodhi, sunrise dance
"in misty beauty never before seen,
sweet sounds of a forest so serene,
embracing and peaceful, so fresh and clean
as birds songs are whispering their routine.
those reflections gleam in the aquamarine...
morning light glowing on your leaves so pristine,
so angelic, so ageless and always evergreen,
dance with me, my lady, my love, my queen"
― bodhi, dance with me
"she danced with
her own reflection,
absorbed in a trance
of morning light,
a glowing impression,
whose sheer beauty
was pure and simply,
her timeless simplicity"
to lay with,
nothing in between.
lost in a breath
existing in a dream.
to be naked
to our souls
and give everything unseen."
"each of her lips say: i want you, kiss me, love me, play me maestro, and dance with me" ― bodhi, dance with me
MORE QUOTES FOR EXTRA MEANING
and here is a really cool and quirky alternative song that goes along nicely with things today: "shut up and dance" by walk the moon ... (just click on any of words in the blue links to listen to the musical selection) ...
"oh don't you dare look back. just keep your eyes on me. i said: you're holding back. she said: shut up and dance with me. this woman is my destiny. she said: oh oh oh, shut up and dance with me...we were victims of the night, the chemical, physical, kryptonite helpless to the bass and the fading light. oh we were bound to get together, bound to get together. she took my arm, i don't know how it happened. we took the floor and she said: oh don't you dare look back. just keep your eyes on me. i said: you're holding back. she said: shut up and dance with me. this woman is my destiny. she said: oh oh oh, shut up and dance with me...a backless dress and some beat up sneaks. my discotheque juliet teenage dream. i felt it in my chest as she looked at me, i knew we were bound to be together, bound to be together. she took my arm, i don't know how it happened. we took the floor and she said: oh don't you dare look back, just keep your eyes on me. i said: you're holding back. she said: shut up and dance with me...this woman is my destiny. she said: oh oh oh, shut up and dance with me. oh, c'mon girl...deep in her eyes i think i see the future. i realize this is my last chance. she took my arm, i don't know how it happened. we took the floor and she said: oh don't you dare look back, just keep your eyes on me. i said: you're holding back. she said: shut up and dance with me...this woman is my destiny. she said: oh oh oh, shut up and dance, don't you dare look back just keep your eyes on me. i said: you're holding back. she said: shut up and dance with me...this woman is my destiny. she said: oh oh oh, shut up and dance with me, oh oh oh shut up and dance with me, oh oh oh shut up and dance with me" ― walk the moon, shut up and dance

"he's a tree, grounded to the earth, yet reaching for the sky. but he loses hope at times. his faith has been shaken to his roots. he tries to believe in something more and sometimes it’s hard...the bar is raised higher on who he'll let dance with his sacred soul and be embraced by the powerful beauty of his love. for his heart is worth it. his love is a once-in-a-lifetime, out of this world, rare and mystical dance to behold and be enfolded by. his heart and his love is one of the most courageous, beautiful, passionate and powerful things you will ever encounter on this planet. true, his dance is not for the faint of heart, but this dance is worth it. he will make every single step and movement count, every moment, every heartbeat, always, this i promise you" ― c. ara campbell (with modifications by bodhinku)

"of everything i have seen, it's you i want to go on seeing: of everything i've touched, it's your flesh i want to go on touching. i love your glowing laughter. i am moved by the sight of you sleeping. what am i to do, love, loved one? i don't know how others love or how people loved in the past. i live, watching you, loving you. dancing with you, being in love with you is my nature" ― pablo neruda, 100 love sonnets
"anyone who is in love is making love the whole time, even when they're not. when two bodies meet, it is just the cup overflowing. they can stay together for hours, even days. they begin the dance one day and finish it the next, or--such is the pleasure they experience--they may never finish it" ― paulo coelho, eleven minutes

ABOUT THE IMPRESSION
"in trying to understand myself, and things that really make me glow with happiness, i created something special here...one fusion joined together from my dreams, visions, feelings, emotions, thoughts, and illuminations from the inner workings of my combined mind, heart, and soul" ― bodhinku, from my dreams
this is an image from my dreams, and although the stars were captured nearby to this location, they were taken from a different aspect on a different date a bit later on...and as such, this is a full composite and not an in-frame merge like i so often do with my astro shots. there's two separate images used in the creation of this composition: one of the trees reflecting in the pond, and another entirely separate one of the stars in the sky (and reflection in the pond water)...
and it should be duly noted that it'd be absolutely impossible to see the stars with the core of the milky way over top of these trees at any time of year. because the only vantage point of this scene is from the southeast bank of the pond facing to the northwest, and to capture any small part of the milky way core in the sky at this location, you'd need to be looking in the opposite direction to the southeast, so there'd be no pond in front of the dancing trees (the pond would fall behind the trees instead)...so this impression is truly a vision from out of my head, a dream of mine, to create this scene as if i was painting it from memory...
the pond and dancing trees portion of this image was captured at 5:55am on may 22 , 2021 just before sunrise during blue hour on a calm windless late spring morning, and this was a quasi-long exposure (f/11 @55mm for 11secs, iso-64)...
in my photography, i always use filters to create longer exposure effects, saturate colors naturally, and balance the light in my composition in-camera...i often use as many as four filters at time, and i always use at least one filter in my completed impressions...
for this exposure, to get the effects and balance i was looking for, i used two progreyusa filters in the capture of this composition, a 3.0nd progrey antarctica filter to bring the light in the image down 10 stops to create more smoothness in the water and a mystical blurred reflection of the dancing trees in the water...plus naturally saturate all the green and blue color hues in in the image...
this was combined with a 0.9 gnd progrey aurora filter to help balance in-camera overall the image the way i envisioned it...in this case, to stop down the brighter light from the pre-sunrise coming from out of frame on the entire right side of the image, stop down that brightness an extra three stops and help permit a richer balance of light (especially in the shadows) throughout the rest of the exposure...
for the separate exposure of the stars captured a couple nights later, i used a vixen optics polarie star tracker with tripod attached to my nikon d850 with a nikon nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 lens this permitted me to be able to capture a much longer exposure of the stars and not have any star trails, which also gives such beautiful enrichment to all the colors in the night sky, plus lessens any severe coma, while at the same time permitting a much lower iso setting and thus so much less noise (f/4@24mm for 420secs, iso-800), and no filters were necessary in the star exposure, so none were used...
"you were blessed with 84,600 seconds today, have you used one of them to say thank you?" ― bodhinku, blessed
"if nothing else...if i open my eyes, if i hope, if i cry, if i think, if i sigh, if i giggle, if i dance, if i love, if i breathe, then i have lived a full days worth of life...nothing is wasted, nothing" ― bodhinku, if nothing else
"i do not want you to just be into my photography, instead, i'd much rather you take a journey into my pictures, and feel the impression i have created, feel it with all your senses" ― bodhinku, into my photography
"contemplate without thinking. be certain only in your uncertainty, content to be completely incomplete. stop the rush. slow down time. breathe and notice. slow down everything. let it all be. shut off the noise. hush. relax. seize this higher moment. reconnect. feel and sense what surrounds you. listen to all the colours of light whisper as they envelope you. see the melody and harmony that float about unnoticed. taste the solitude of all this wonderment. smell the beautiful silence. now discover your peaceful serenity. then, reach out and touch your faith with all your senses. this is my world. awaken!" ― bodhinku, my world
i leave you today wishing that bright joy
and spiritual peace fill your life...
imploring you to make every moment count,
no matter what, always and forever,
for that is the only thing that truly matters...
and above all else,
i hope this message and impression find you well.
